Hi,

I'm Jeff G, and I have been a Facebook user for over 4 1/2 years. Two weeks ago (March 19, 2009), I logged into Facebook and saw this:



No warning, no notification, nothing. Just the screen.

"No problem," I said to myself. "I'll just shoot them a quick email and sort this whole thing out."

After nearly 2 weeks of jumping through hoops with virtually no response, Facebook admin informed me that my account is banned for having a fake name and that the decision is "final."

The following posts will chronicle my adventure of dealing with Facebook administration. My goals here are simple:

1. To make Facebook users aware of how the site's administration operates.
   
2. To provide support for other users going through the same thing.
   
3. To show Facebook that customer service should always come first.
